Our journey
How we met
During winter 2019 our team participated in the MedInnovate Graduate Programme, an interactive and intense workshop offered at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in collaboration with UnternehmerTUM, the center for innovation and business creation at TUM. This course aims at a step-wise approach to identify unmet medical needs, and design innovative solution concepts and business cases to boost the startup culture in Germany and the European Union. Based on the successful BioDesign process, medical technology and solutions in the area of BioEngineering are addressed by following a needs-driven framework.
The underlying clinical need is the DNA of every successful solution in medical device development

Who we are
Caroline Brendle
Hardware-Software-Interface Engineering
Hardware-Software-Interface Engineering: Caroline holds a Bachelor in Technical Management and Mechanical Engineering from Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in Ravensburg as well as a Master in Industrial Engineering and Management from University of Applied Science Munich. Momentarily, Caroline conducts an advanced studies course in Computer Science at Technical University Munich. Before Caroline discovered her passion for innovation in the medical sector, she gained comprehensive work experience in product management in the construction industry and in production planning and controlling in the automotive sector.
Laura Schütz
User Experience & Product Design
Laura holds a Bachelor in Architecture and a Master in Industrial Design from Technical University Munich. Before discovering her fascination with user-centered innovation in the medical sector, she gained relevant work experience in design research and product design with focus on innovation, as well as user experience design.
Yusuf Ziya Güleray
Software Engineering
Yusuf holds a Bachelor in Mechatronics Engineering from Sabancı University. Before deciding to continue his studies on robotics and artificial intelligence, he gained field experience during his work in the aviation industry. At the moment, his studies are emphasized in the field of computer vision and he is currently writing his Master Thesis on the improvement of the tracking performance of medical tools in cooperation with Stella Medical.
Hasan Basri Yagmur
Strategic Business Development
Hasan holds a Bachelor in International Economics from Tübingen University and is currently finishing a graduate degree in Management and Technology at Technical University of Munich with specializations in Entrepreneurial Finance and Chemistry. During his studies, Hasan has gained relevant working experience from leading Management Consultancies, Private Equity funds, and M&A advisors.
